Dexpanthenol is a so-called provitamin. It’s chemical compound of poyolen and amides and is part of the vitamin B complex. Generally speaking Dexpanthenol is kown as vitamin B5.
Depanthenol changes into pantothen acid in the body. This acid is part of the coenzym A. This contributes to the fatty acid synthase, which supports the development and regeneration of skin and mucous membranes.
Vitamin B5 is water-soluble. This forsters tissue repair as well as the regeneration of dry and irritated skin.
